| Symonds: Used to living in India for an extended period of time and I am enjoying it. We were still 20 short of what we would have liked to got, we got to a total which was enough and the bowlers did well to help us get past the finishing line. |

| Gilchrist: We just got home in the end but I felt we were atleast 10 or 15 short with the bat. The wicket wasn't exactly a belter but we did well to get to 170, Irfan played a fantastic knock. Great courage by our bowlers especially Jaskaran who got the magical wicket of Irfan. He came to be the previous over asking me to give him a bowl and when I did he showed great character and did the job for us. Every win is important in this competition and we are looking forward to finish off with our Cuttack leg win another win. |

| Sangakkara: Disappointed to say the least but the first 6 overs cost us the game. We did well to get really close in the end. The fielding and bowling was a little better, we had to buckle down and bat well but we weren't able to do it. We still have a great opportunity to bounce back. |

| The Deccan chargers were on top right from the start as they picked up important wickets in quick succession. The big guns of Punjab, in the likes of Yuvi, Sangakkara and Jayawardene failed to make any significant contribution as their top order batsmen fell like nine pins. Symonds bowled a few very important overs to peg Mohali back. Vaas was at his best taking 2 important wickets at the top of the order. Irfan played a fantastic innings down the order scoring runs with ease and dispatching the balls to all parts of the ground. But, that was not enough to see them home. With this loss, Punjab are yet to win a match in this tournament while Deccan Chargers find their place as one among the top 4 teams in the points table. |
